BEGINS COURSES FOR FOREST FIRE AND CIVIL DEFENCE VOLUNTEERS
The Civil Defence Rainbow San Salvador with the support of CSV (Centro Servizi for Volunteer) of Chieti organizes for its volunteers a basic course on the concepts of Civil Protection and fire fighting. Volunteers-the managers of state-they have a right knowledge and preparation to meet the various emergencies in which they are to intervene. Although a number of volunteers have already participated in several courses, must still be slightly out of date. The course will be held on days 17 and 24 April at the Cultural Centre "A. Moro" in San Salvo, will also participate in some volunteer Broad Green Jackets and Fir CB San Vitale. In the coming months, the work of training the volunteers of the PC Rainbow will continue also in a decisive manner other policy areas the association.

CIVIL PROTECTION PROMOTES THE RAINBOW GATHERING IN SOLIDARITY
The Civil Defence Rainbow San Salvo has joined the project "Solidarity Gathering" Cial Sponsored by the Consortium for Packaging (Aluminum). This major project, sponsored by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Social Solidarity Association provides that the writing of the collection points for aluminum bars, restaurants, shops, schools, parishes, etc.. The purpose of Cial is to create a culture of recycling aluminum, which is the only metal that can be recycled over and over again keeping 100% of its characteristics. Sympathetic Collection, that Italy has more than 130 active associations, promotes respect for the environment and nature. CIAL, the material collected by the group and given the platforms it has indicated, will provide a small contribution to the association. This economic contribution, over the years, will be used for the purchase of equipment such as dewatering of Civil Protection, generators, lighting towers, fire fighting modules, etc.. that will be used in disaster for the Protection of the entire national territory and beyond. For these reasons, the Civil Defence Rainbow asks the active cooperation of all citizens, businesses and all those local associations who are engaged in the forefront of conservation and environmental protection. Activities or people who want more information or to join the initiative can do so by calling 331.3776253 or send an email to-pcarcobaleno@libero.it. The material that you can earn varies from beverage cans, the aluminum foil for food containers for the storage and cooking of food, boxes of vegetables and meat, finishing with cans of hairspray, foam, cream, spray, deodorants and for the body. To recognize with certainty the aluminum from other metals is simple: aluminum and non-magnetic and therefore the magnet does not stick. This project demonstrates once again the commitment from the environmental point of view of the association and the Rainbow will continue to create new projects in our region than in other parts of the country are on track. The project, involving the association is especially school children in environmental awareness, natural resources and then to the recycling of waste. The benefits of the collection are:
SOCIAL, funds obtained through the collection will be reinvested for community service;
ENVIRONMENTAL, thanks to the initiative we will increase activities aimed at environmental protection;

Teacher Conferences Joke
A surprise from the Zvezda - A surprise from Zvezda
without long waits, the Zvezda announced some surprise the release of a new box on the Great Northern War, the Dragoons of Peter the Great. Actually, was not felt much need, since the Swedish dragoons were already used for that purpose, as the uniform colors apart, are almost identical, but that's okay though. I think this is the box that completes the series. Obviously we do not have pictures yet of the pieces, but it seems that all riders have a tricorn hat. Perhaps it would be good to do, however, with the characteristic pokalem the berrtto with earmuffs in several regiments were equipped.

our friend Sir William the Aged , informs us that the number of items contained in the box is different from that mentioned earlier in this post (taken from another blog ). Indeed, it seems that the box contains only 10 figures
mounted infantry
9 figures, 3 of which hold up the horses and shoot 6.

After a very short waiting, Zvezda announced the release of the new box about GNW, Russian Dragoons. We don't have any images of the miniatures but, fom tha box picture, it seems that all of them wear tricorne hat. Maybe it would have been better to make them wearing the pokalem hat, instead. It would have had more sense, even to differentiate them from Swdish dragoons , that have virtually the same uniform, colours apart. Anyway, a new box is never a trouble, even if I deem this is the one that goes to complete GNW range.

Friday was' April 3, 2009 when the initiative was born of 12 Civil Defence volunteers rainbow. Today, one year later, despite a thousand dangers, the growth of the association has gone beyond all expectations. A special thanks to all those people who directly or indirectly made it possible to achieve this goal.
